I liked Hokusai’s work because it used a lot of detail, and it was very accurate and fine-tuned.

I liked Utamaro’s work because it uses the art of refection, and I find that something hard to replicate

I liked Rex Ray’s work because I liked all the colors and the animated look

Kyosai’s work displays a demonic tone that I like and uses a lot of detail

I like Kuniyoshi’s work because it uses detail and a lot of patterns

Artist Statement

In this project we had to make High-waters cool ,through fast areas of graphic design. My partner and I had to create a three clothing designs, three stickers, and three posters to make High-waters cool. Throughout this project my partner and I focused on a posterized looks and the used the colors black and red to represent the punk feel. In my group we had many hard times, but because we put in long hours and hard work, I think we did a pretty good job.

I feel that this is a great image of culture jamming because it is shows how tiger woods is becoming the company. He is in a lot of commercials and endorsements, and instead of making a lot of his money in golf he is becomings nike's sponsor.
